Over 100 years ago we were flying planes made from sticks and cloth and then the 60s came along and ideas about flight focussed on vertical take-off vehicles. All of them failed to materialise except for the Rocket Belt concept, which we now recognise as the 'Rocketman' or the 'Iron Man' jet suit.
